Conchetta, known to many as Connie, was born Rogers and Mabel Lynch (Johnson). She was the third of four children. Vehra, Rogers III and (Melba) who preceded her in death on November 27, 2023.
During her youth, she grew up in Chicago and attended Medill Elementary School. During her high school years, the family moved from Chicago to Hopkins Park, Illinois. There she attended St. Anne High School, made lifetime friendships with her girl crew Audrey, Irene, and Beverly (deceased).
At St. Anne, Connie met her husband of 58 years, Harold Williams, Sr., (deceased). To this union, five children were born, Roschelle "Roxy", Harold Jr. "Duffy", Cynthia "CeCe", Andre, and Alta. Right after graduating St. Anne High School in 1958, Connie went to Richard T. Crane Jr. College, before marrying Harold in 1960.
Over the years, Connie raised her family, worked and retired from Habilitative Systems Incorporated, HSI. There she worked with group homes for the mentally challenged as a Skilled Care Worker and Coordinator. Connie loved to travel with family, first with her parents, husband and siblings to Hawaii, and especially with her daughters, they'd take cruises to the Caribbean Islands, or visit Las Vegas.
Most may not know that Connie liked to entertain, especially during the 70's. The weekends were for partying at the Williams house. This was time when friends gathered, celebrated, and had laughs and spirits. Those were the good ole days. Those friendships have endured time and the gatherings have continued into the current days with backyard parties during the summer months.
Connie will be loved and missed by so many!
