Salomon, Donald William of Glen Ellyn, born July 18, 1925, in Chicago; at rest July 14, 2008. Beloved husband of 54 years of Connie, (née Alfers); loving father of Robin (Mike) Dye, Curt (Kelly), Andrée (John) McArthur, Alexa, and Adam (JoAnne). Cherished Gramps of Geordie, Ivy and Liam Dye; Grace Fergus, Leigh McArthur; Carley, Jillian, Dean and Kara Salomon. Loving brother of Leon Salomon (General, U.S. Army, Retired) and the late Grace Anne, devoted son of the late Dolly (née Johnson) Salomon Lyons and the late Milton, dear brother-in-law of Shirley (née Fredberg) Salomon, Joan (the late Ralph) Gabric, June (the late Vic) Markov and the late Jean (Kay) Alfers, fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. Mr. Salomon made an anatomical gift to the College of Medicine at the University of Illinois, his alma mater.
