Lee P Smith

Lee P. Smith was born October 26, 1964, in Hayti, Missouri to Chester Sr. and Mary Smith. He was the 11th child of 13.

Lee spent most of his childhood years in Hayti, Missouri but finished high school in Lincoln, Nebraska, then later moved to Chicago, Illinois.

Lee was blessed with three children: Leesha, Raheem and Leeann whom he adored and was very proud of. He was equally proud of his grandchildren: Samir, Sajah, Raheemah and Skylar.

Lee was great at many things but two of his favorites were nurturing plants (he had a green thumb), and grilling for family events. Every birthday party for his kids and grandkids he was there on the grill. If there was a party and food was involved you could expect to see him on the grill.

Lee will be missed by so many friends and family especially his daughter Leesha (Steven), grandson Samir and granddaughters Sajah and Skylar, son Raheem and granddaughter Raheemah and youngest daughter Leeann.

Lee is preceded in death by his mother and father, Mary and Chester Sr., brothers Arthur Lee, Ray, and sister Bobbie.

In life his siblings Jennie V., Jenny Mae, Christine, Zerline, Willie, Chester Jr., Roy, David and Tersa (James), and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
