Robert Mason, Jr.

Robert Mason Jr was born on October 14, 1942 in West Point, Mississippi.  He was one of 5 Children born to the late Robert Mason Sr and Melvina Mason (Strong).  He departed this life on Wednesday Nov 10, 2021 at Loyola University Medical Center

On August 3, 1968 he married Erma Lee Cobbs and was blessed to be together for 53 years.  They have 2 children born Roderick Mason and Sheneiqua Mason.  Robert Mason was a proud strong man that always provided for his family and pushed his family to be the best they could and always wanted them to put forth their best effort.

He worked as a Forklift Driver for a few companies Universal Food, GE, and many years at Best Foods where he retired from a back Injury. After he retired he spent his time talking to his neighbors, sitting on the porch, and making sure his grandchildren were spoiled rotten. His favorite teams all came from the Chicago bulls, bears and cubs. He and Erma would watch them for hours. 

He is preceded in death by his brother John Mason (Joe) and sister Lillie Townsend.

Robert Mason leaves behind his loving wife, his two children both from Chicago and 3 Grandchildren Justin (Rod), Kaylan and Riana (Sheneiqua)

His two brothers Jamal El-Amin ( Rosalind) from Birmingham Al, Frank Mason (Sallie) from Arizona. He also leave behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends

A mask must be worn to enter the facility.
