Vanessa Ree Mauldin-Bennett was born in Chicago, IL., March 11, 1953 to Willard and Voncile Mauldin.
She accepted Christ at an early age, she was a member of Christ Prairie Baptist Church.
Vanessa was born and raised on the southeast side of Chicago, on the 6900 block of south Dorchester Avenue with her seven siblings.
She was a very well known and loving person.
She met and married Clifton B. Bennett on October 31,1969. They had 2 amazing daughters, Jacqueline and Angela (who preceded her in death).
She retired from the City of Chicago water department.
She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory and kind heart her father Willard Mauldin (Susie); her daughter Jacqueline;
her four brother's, Anthony, Dennis, Derrick and Andre; her one sister Sandra Williams;
she also leaves behind seven grandchildren, one who preceded her in death; eight great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
Vanessa lived a wonderful life, enjoyed helping others and making delicious meals. She always made hilarious jokes and loved her children and siblings dearly.
She will be truly missed.
